Artists at Risk (AR) are pleased to welcome Konvent Puntzero in Catalonia as an “Artists at Risk (AR) – A European Network of Safe Havens (AR-ENSH)” partner.
Konvent Puntzero is a 19th-century convent converted into a multidisciplinary art centre. It aims at cultural mediation via artistic creation and dissemination rooted in the local territory, yet is open to collaborators and visitors from all backgrounds and disciplines. The project is self-managed combining “centripetal and centrifugal forces”, in keeping with a guiding principle of freedom.
With no limits on creative scope Konvent offers a singular space with facilities for all individual and collective activities across a wide range of media, as well as common spaces for exchange and social interaction. Konvent encourages projects that enrich artistic discourse, furthering discussion.
Konvent’s residencies aim to help artists and creators develop their projects by providing space to research the unique local environment. Stays are open to practitioners from diverse areas including: art, research, performance, technology, gastronomy and science.
AR-Catalonia at Konvent Puntzero is funded by the EU Creative Europe project “Artists at Risk (AR) – A European Network of Safe Havens (AR-ENSH)”. AR-Konvent is part of the AR-Network curated and coordinated by Perpetuum Mobile (PM).
