We are pleased to welcome ZKM | Center for Art and Media as an “Artists at Risk (AR) – A European Network of Safe Havens (AR-ENSH)” partner.
ZKM | Center for Art and Media combines research and production, exhibitions and performances, collections and archives, mediation and events. In connecting these fields of interdisciplinary work, ZKM contributes to the research and production of the art and media of the 20th and 21st centuries.
ZKM hosts symposia and other platforms for theoretical discourse around the themes of art, philosophy, science, technology, business and politics to complement the ZKM program, allowing for an examination of the social effects of the media and digitization.
Together with ZKM’s research department, laboratories and other departments as well as partner institutions and research institutes worldwide, the curatorial department develops a varied exhibition program at ZKM in close cooperation with the artistic, academic board and an international network of guest artists, academics and curators. Furthermore, ZKM is involved curatorially in collaboration on a global scope, making for rich exhibition content aimed at a diverse public.
