Artists at Risk (AR) is delighted to welcome Palestinian artist Ibrahim Jawabreh as an AR-Resident. This short-term residency is funded by the AR Covid-19 Emergency Fund, created to support artists at risk who face threats to their freedom or safety and are unable to reach a place of refuge during the coronavirus pandemic.

Ibrahim Jawabreh

Ibrahim Jawabreh is a visual artist born in the refugee camp of Arroub, Palestine. After graduating in Fine Arts at Al-Quds University (Abu Dis), he started to develop his ideas in different art forms, including painting, graphic design, video art, photography, poetry, novels and articles. He has shown his paintings internationally, including exhibitions in Palestine, Cairo, Damascus, Dubai, Tokyo, Boston, Helsinki, London and Paris.

Jawabreh has also participated in several artist residencies and workshops such as Biella Art Residency, Italy; Body and Earth Art Residency, Nepal; and Art Museum Residency, Vienna. His work is included in a number of international collections and museums including Barjeel Art Foundation, Sharjah; Nepal National Gallery; Sadeqa Art Gallery, Tunis; Mahat Art Gallery, London; Cairo Amman Bank, Amman; and in many other private collections worldwide.
