Artists at Risk (AR) organised the panel Criticism under Political Pressure at The Future of Critique at the Akademie der Künste on 25 November 2022.

The panel included Danson Kahyana (AR-Helsinki alumnus, outgoing president of PEN Uganda, former board member of PEN International); Sara Nabil (artist, human rights activist from Afghanistan), and Barış Seyitvan (AR-Berlin alumnus, independent Kurdish curator and artist), and was moderated by Ivor Stodolsky and Marita Muukkonen (Co-Directors of AR).

AR also wishes to thank Kolja Reichert and Angela Lammert, who curated this impressive 5-day congress at the Kunsthalle in Bonn and the Akademie der Künste in Berlin!
