On Thursday, 22 December 2022 at 18:00, Untitled Tbilisi presents a new exhibition resulting from the collaboration of 5 artists supported by AR-Tbilisi, a residency programme project by Untitled in partnership with Artists at Risk (AR). Initiated in 2021, AR-Tbilisi has funded and hosted 15 artists and art activists facing political persecution in their countries of origin.
The exhibition reflects on what we cling to in difficult times: perhaps a feeling or idea that is hidden from others. It contemplates our bodies as existing between the past and future, yet shaped by and shaping both in our physicality.
The current residency is Funded by the Stabilisation Fund for Culture and Education of the German Federal Foreign Office and Goethe-Institut.
SHADOW PIERCED BY THE SUN is a part of the new international series of AR EVENTS. This decentralised series with activities across the AR-Network introduces artists, curators and cultural professionals hosted by or affiliated with AR-Residences to new audiences. It follows in the footsteps of the larger-scale AR PAVILIONS.
