Lesia Kulchynska, Artists at Risk (AR) Safe Haven Helsinki Resident, art curator and feminist, presents the books The Right to Truth: Conversations on Art and Feminism and Every Person is an Artist at Oodi Library in Helsinki, Finland on Friday, 16 June!

In dialogue with moderator Aino Puhto from Artists at Risk (AR), Kulchynska talks about the democratisation of art and the connections between contemporary art, feminism and power. The duo will explore a set of conversations between artists and cultural actresses found in The Right to Truth, which questions the reality of feminist art in a post-Soviet space, explores activism and philosophy and questions the “correct” answers when it comes to truth and feminist artists’ experiences in the contemporary art field.
