The LCB hosts around 50 authors and translators from all over the world every year. The most of them stay for four weeks. The guests appreciate working in a concentrated atmo- sphere, take part in events, become part of the LCB community and establish contacts with the city’s literary actors. The invitations are made possible by partners such as the Auswärtiges Amt (German Foreign Office), the S. Fischer Foundation, the Goethe-Institut, the TOLEDO Programme and the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation. Many authors are connected to the house in a special way through their time as scholarship holders at the LCB.
