Kulturstiftung des Freistaat Sachsen (The Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony) has been promoting art and cultural projects, awarding grants and purchasing contemporary art since 1993. Its work serves the free development of art and culture in the Free State of Saxony. It supports the development of new forms of artistic expression and promotes young artists. It is committed to the sustainable communication of art and culture, the preservation of cultural heritage and cross-border cultural cooperation. A large number of international scholarship and exchange programs, including in cooperation with the Goethe Institute, promote intercultural dialogue and networking among artists worldwide.
