The focal points of the Künstlerhaus are the artist-in-residence programme in cooperation with partner institutions abroad within the framework of the European Art Scholarship of the District of Upper Bavaria and an international exhibition programme. The function as a professional artists’ house is rounded off by a broad accompanying programme with lectures, workshops and guided tours as well as the sculpture garden. The diverse cultural programme makes the Schafhof a centre for contemporary art, which serves as a platform for cultural encounters on a regional and international level.
