Artists at Risk (AR) is thrilled to announce that Typography Residence at Yerevan is joining the AR as the host institution for Artists at Risk-Yerevan.
Typography’s strong anti-war position, stated in a number of publications on social media, forced the collective to cancel its public program and move to Armenia, Yerevan, where they continued their activity non-publicly. Half a year later, Typography has made contact with many local grass-rooted initiatives and is still helping to uphold ties between those who were forced to leave Russia and Belarus.
Typography is still working on the Krasnodar Institute of Contemporary Art (KICA), a self-organized, horizontal initiative created in order to form, broaden, and educate the art community. The second important initiative is a residence in Yerevan.
