Artists at Risk (AR) welcomes Said Ahmed Mohamed Ali from Sudan as a new AR-ENSH Resident with ArtVeda in Tunisia! Said is renowned for his visual representations of societal changes in Sudan.
Employing various mediums such as caricatures, paintings, and murals, his creative work serves as a form of cultural resistance, providing insights into the challenging realities faced in his home country. Said’s art has been featured in local political campaigns and on international platforms. One of his most notable works is a mosaic mural titled ‘Utopia’ which was supported by the German Foreign Office.
ArtVeda is an NGO working for the promotion of cultural life in Tunisia and for a dialogue beyond borders. Since 2016, it has been involved in artistic production, the organisation of creative workshops for marginalised groups and hosting residencies for artists at risk.
