🌼 One of the lovely things about our Artists at Risk (AR) base in Finland is the opportunity to come together and celebrate with our residents, colleagues, partners and friends!
🌸 In collaboration with our AR-Resident partner in Helsinki, Villa Eläintarha, we had a summer party to celebrate new arrivals and say goodbye to Hayfa Dhouib – our first Human Rights Defender AR-Resident – as her residency came to an end.
Hosted at Villa Eläintarha, we also welcomed our new AR-Safe Haven Helsinki residents Matt Shally, Ana Jabauri, and Helena Lakhyi!
🌸 It feels likes only yesterday that we were welcoming Hayfa and Russian investigative journalist Vadim Smyslov at our annual AR-Spring Celebration in May with glorious sunny weather in Lapinlahti! Check out the throwback images of the celebration, where we also enjoyed presentations from our AR-Alumnus Issa Touma, as well as a lovely barbeque.
