From 2025-2027, Artists at Risk (AR) is implementing the Ukraine–Nordic–Baltic Residency Cooperation Network (UNB-Network) – focusing on interlinkage, growth, and resilience of residency cooperation in the region.

The UNB-Network builds on AR’s extensive work with Ukraine. Between 2022–2023, the AR Ukraine-Internal Residency Network (AR-UA Internal Network) hosted 100+ residents at 14 residences. AR also partnered with 120 host residences to support 200+ artists in the Nordic-Baltic Region.

The UNB-Network will bring together a selection of these hosts through exchange-residencies for Ukrainian hosting-coordinators, and two major seminars.

Our first major UNB-Network Workshop will be held on 21-24 September at the Creative Residency MC6 in the Carpathian Mountains, Ukraine – uniting our community, fostering collaboration, and co-developing new approaches to support artists at risk.
