«From fragility to flight: Creativity and resilience in exile»

Wednesday 1 Oct – 17:30–18:30 – La Llotja de Mar, Passeig d’Isabel II, Barcelona

Palestinian artist Marwa Abu Raida from Gaza, currently in exile and hosted by NoCallarem AR-Barcelona, and AR co-directors will join Palosanto’s Nodes MONDIACULT side event to discuss ‘From fragility to flight: Creativity and resilience in exile’. The discussion is part of the «Cultural policies under discussion» in Palosanto’s Nodes programme organised in the framework of MONDIACULT 2025 Conference, the World Conference on Cultural Policies, convened by long-term AR-partner UNESCO.

Marwa will share her personal and artistic experience under threats and in exile. An important, timely and sensitive discussion on how cultural policies can actually protect artistic freedom.

Framed in the MONDIACULT 2025 Conference, Nodes is an initiative that seeks to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between professionals, institutions and groups in the cultural field, with the aim of promoting a critical, inclusive and participatory approach on the transformative role of culture in contemporary society.

Join us in Barcelona today in this important discussion!
