Born in Donetsk and educated at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, Teletien works across painting, graphics, land art, scenography, and artistic research. Since 2012, she has worked as an artist at the Publicist Theater in Kharkiv, creating scenography and costumes, and has participated in numerous exhibitions and residencies across Ukraine, Poland, and Germany.

Her artistic practice explores self-identification, safety, the environment, and the reinvention of objects that have lost their original functions. Teletien has also curated natural art laboratory projects and was awarded a Special Award in 2024 by the National Museum of the Przemyśl District. Her works are held in private collections across Europe.

During her residency in Helsinki, Teletien is engaging with the local art community and continuing her research on arboglyphs, carved graffiti on trees, now expanded to include stone inscriptions found along the Helsinki shoreline.

We’re proud to welcome Viktoriia Teletien to the AR-Helsinki residency, made possible thanks to the support of The City of Helsinki, the Department for Leisure and Culture and The Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture!
