About
Calanoa Foundation is a conservation and cultural development initiative dedicated to protecting the biodiversity and ancestral heritage of the Colombian Amazon. For more than 14 years, the foundation has worked with Tikuna, Cocama, Huitoto, Yagua, and Kamentza communities in the Amazon Trapezium region across Colombia, Peru, and Brazil, promoting ecosystem preservation, environmental education, sustainable livelihoods, and the safeguarding of Indigenous knowledge. Through responsible tourism, research, reforestation, cultural programs, and community support, the foundation contributes to both ecological restoration and local economic resilience in the Amazon Basin.
