About
Can Serrat is one of the oldest international residency programs in Catalonia, located in a historic farmhouse in El Bruc, near Montserrat, approximately 45 km from Barcelona. Founded in 1989, Can Serrat supports artistic and literary creation through individual and collective processes, fostering exchange among residents from diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds. The residency can host up to 35 participants and operates through international programs, multidisciplinary coliving, and online collaborative initiatives such as REMOTA. The organization is supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya and is part of the Xarxaprod network.
