R.A.R.O. Residencias Artísticas Raramente Organizadas is an international, self-managed residency network that challenges conventional residency models by operating as an itinerant program rather than within a single physical space. Founded in 2014 in Buenos Aires, the program connects more than 20 artists’ studios that host residents and support creative development in collaborative environments. Since 2024, R.A.R.O. has also operated in Bogotá, where it has hosted dozens of international artists. The program promotes interdisciplinary exchange, artistic production, and research-based practice through studio work, dialogues, field visits, and portfolio review sessions.
