Biography
Hossein Zoghi is an Iranian journalist, theatre director and actor, known for his politically engaged journalism and underground theatre performances in Iran.
His work explores sensitive political and social issues in Iran and the Middle East, often featuring portraits of forbidden Iranian socio-political icons and incorporating traditional Iranian performance practices into his theatre.
Zoghi has worked extensively as a journalist and as a member of the editorial boards of numerous Iranian publications. Throughout both his journalism and theatre work, the political nature of his projects has exposed him to severe censorship and repeated bans.
