Daryna Olinkeyvch (b. 2001, Western Ukraine) is a visual artist based in Kyiv. She is currently in her third year of studying Painting at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.
After initially studying law, she turned to painting. Her academic training focuses on figurative composition, still life, anatomy, and the fundamentals of drawing, color, and form. She works primarily with oil, pastel, and charcoal.
Her work explores fragility, perception, reality, war, mortality, and collective memory. At the core of her practice is the idea of reality as a construction of individual experience, particularly evident in works that emerge from experiences of derealization.
Since 2022, her artistic practice has been profoundly shaped by the war in Ukraine. Her work brings together personal experience and collective trauma, offering an introspective perspective within contemporary painting.
