AR-Resident JKM Rambo

Biography 

JKM Rambo is a musician, singer-songwriter, performer, beatmaker and activist from Goma, in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. His music blends hip-hop, reggae, and contemporary African sounds to deliver powerful messages of peace, social justice, resilience, and human rights.

Having grown up in a region deeply affected by armed conflict, JKM Rambo transforms the realities of his environment into music that gives a voice to communities impacted by violence. Through his art, he promotes dialogue, social cohesion, and hope while shedding light on the challenges faced by people living in eastern DRC.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with several renowned artists from the Great Lakes region and East Africa, including Nay wa Mitego (Tanzania), Stamina Shorwebwenzi (Stamina) (Tanzania), as well as many artists and producers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, and Tanzania.

JKM Rambo has performed at a number of cultural events and festivals, including the Amani Festival, the Independence Day Festival, and the FestiRap (Rap Festival), where he has shared the stage with fellow artists and delivered performances promoting peace, culture, and youth empowerment.
