Biography
Veronika Syrotkina (b. 1991, Odesa, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian artist based in Kyiv. Working primarily in painting and drawing, her practice explores the relationship between memory, perception, and lived experience, translating personal and collective narratives into expressive visual language.
Syrotkina graduated from the Grekov Odesa Art College in 2013 with a degree in painting. She continued her education at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2017 and a Master of Fine Arts in 2019, both from the Painting Department.
Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine, including the solo exhibition Reality (2021), organized by the Dofa Fund in collaboration with the Korners Auction House and supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. She has also participated in exhibitions at Bakota Hub, the Dacha residency, the Regional Center for Contemporary Art in Vinnytsia, and the Art Bratislava Cultural Center in Kyiv.
