Nataliia Mykolaienko is an upcycler, collage artist and sculptor from Ukraine.

She chose art as a lifestyle and a method of communicating with the world.
In her works, she addresses global issues — war, loss, pain, politics, gender equality, violence, discrimination, and ecology.
She has participated in exhibitions in various corners of the world — Ukraine, Poland, Albania, Greece, Great Britain, and the USA.
She treats collage as a tool for exploring human emotions, feelings, and events. A variety of execution techniques and access to materials opens up a whole stream of reimagined new art to the world.
She rarely gives names to her works, wanting everyone to see something of their own in them.

One of her chosen directions is papier-mâché sculpture. She also applies it in everyday life, creating decor elements for interiors.
The use of recycled materials is one of the main priorities of her work.
The birth of the new from the old and unnecessary is the principle of art chosen by the author.
We thank Tampere Artist’s Association for hosting Nataliia Mykolaienko and wish her a safe, meaningful and productive stay.
