I am Erick Antonio Lacayo Luna. I was born in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, December 1, 1989. I am a painter. I studied modern art at the Catholic University of Nicaragua. I have been painting since I was 12 years old.
My work is abstract, contemporary art. My theme is only one: WORLD PEACE FOR A PLANET WITHOUT WEAPONS. I paint to talk about violence, Pachamama and the preservation of natural resources. I do not omit political or religious opinions. I make art for everyone! And yet, In Nicaragua my message was considered hostile. My life was in danger.
In 2016 I donated two paintings to the National Assembly of Nicaragua: “Indifference” and “Governments of the World, God’s Hope in Humanity”. Years later misinterpreted and withdrawn by the Nicaraguan state! Works disappeared.
I delivered them at the Rubén Darío National Theater.
In 2016 I also donated the work “Tears of Blood” to the Reina Sofía Foundation in Spain.
Today I am in Mexico City as an ER-Resident at SanArte in Casa Xitla CDMX
Here, in peace, surrounded by trees, squirrels and brothers and sisters I create THE CHRONICLES OF THE MAN IN WHITE, My first book.
At the end of the residency I will present it!
