Cultural Workers Studio is a shared studio, meeting place, and space of exchange for cultural workers from Ukraine in Berlin. We host 7 permanent Ukrainian artists in a shared artist studio space in Flutgraben e.V, organise cultural events such as livestream concerts and film festivals, and organise Friday public ‘Tusovka’ events to connect with Ukrainian cultural workers.
The project emphasises community-building, creating free space in Berlin’s existing cultural structures.
Cultural Workers Studio evolved out of the structure of Cultural Workers Against War, an emergency initiative that began in February 2022, and hosted weekly Cultural Workers’ Cafes welcoming people fleeing Ukraine.
