Aura Mista is one of the cultural institutions that are part of the Artists at Risk (AR)-Ukraine-Internal Residency Network, which provides shelter to artists and cultural professionals within Ukraine.
Aura Mista is an art residence that seeks to reveal the artistic potential of smaller cities in Ukraine.
Organized by the NGO Dieva Hromada since 2019, Aura Mista has been inviting artists and connoisseurs of modern Ukrainian art to to the city of Starobilsk in the Luhansk region in the very east of Ukraine.
For the second year after the occupation of the region, the Aura Mista team is organising an art residency in the city of Svalyava in the Transcarpathian region in west Ukraine . Through this, they aim to unite the country and respond through art to the requests and challenges that arise in society.
