Olga Yurasova is a production designer and artist born in Sevastopol, Ukraine.

Yurasova graduated from the Ukrainian National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, Ukraine, and has a Master’s degree in Screen Arts. Since her childhood, she dreamed of becoming part of the film industry, which led her to becoming a production designer. Yurasova has worked with numerous film directors from Ukraine, Russia and the EU. Her biggest and most important project to date has been “Ayka”, a drama directed by award-winning Kazakh director Sergey Dvortsevoy. The film was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, and it won the Best Actress Award there.

Yurasova also works with animation and visual arts. In all her work, she tries to depict emotions and feelings from the depths of the heart. But in these times when Ukraine is suffering because of Russia’s full-scale invasion, she is trying to reconsider this tragedy through her art.

Olga Yurasova is an ARTISTS at RISK (AR)-UNESCO Resident at Moskosel Creative Lab in Moskosel, Sweden, with the support of the UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund and the UNESCO-Aschberg Programme for Artists and Cultural Professionals.
