AR-Resident Tito Valery was interviewed by Naomi Woddis for The Two of Us radio program for Reel Rebel’s Radio. Tito introduces the paths that led him to his artistic work, his radio and television career and his political activism. Through the interview Valery explains in depth his African cultured perspective that inspires his works. He also talks about his recent creations during his stay at AR-Residence in Wysing Arts Centre, and the experience of working in a Western country as an African.
Tito Valery is an Artists at Risk (AR) Resident, currently between Helsinki and Berlin, hosted in cooperation with Neue Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.). The AR-Network is curated by Perpetuum Mobile (PM) and is coordinated by the AR-Secretariat, co-funded by Kone Foundation. This residency is co-funded by Nordic Culture Point.
