We warmly welcome Lil Baliil, the Somali Afro-Pop musician from Nairobi, Kenya, to a year-long AR-residency at AR-Safe Haven Berlin. A greatly loved artist among East African youth, Lil Baliil recently won the « East African Song of the Year, 2019 ». He endeavours to encourage other young Somalis to follow their dreams. During his AR-Residency, Lil Baliil will continue writing, recording and performing his music.

Lil Baliil is an Artists-at-Risk (AR) Resident, hosted in cooperation with ufaFabrik at AR-Safe Haven Berlin. The AR-Network is curated by Perpetuum Mobile (PM) and is coordinated by the AR-Secretariat, co-funded by Kone Foundation. This residency is generously funded by a German funding body.
