On 26 June 2024, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland and the Human Rights Centre organized a discussion on the state of art and democracy in Russia and the freedom of Russian-language artists and journalists outside Russia.

The panel featured Pavel Semchenko, a theatre artist and alumnus of the Artists at Risk (AR) residency programme, Anna Jarovaja, freelance journalist, Kaisa Rönkkö, Director, Arts Promotion Centre Finland, and Irina Vesikko, Chairman, Democratic Community of Russian-speaking Russians, and was hosted by Salla Nazarenko, International Affairs Specialist, Finnish Journalists Association.
