BUSHA SPACE
A unique place that combines the natural features of different regions of Ukraine — Crimea, Polissia, Carpathians. There are plants and soils typical of different regions of Ukraine. People from all Ukraine can feel at home here. In addition, this area is quite calm and safe. There are many displaced people here now. The region is Podillia. The village is Busha.
Busha is situated in the Vinnytsia region near the border with Moldova and is currently one of the safest places in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, this location has been providing refuge for people from occupied and threatened areas. During the winter of 2024, it also offered the location to residents of Kyiv when they faced a lack of electricity and heating.
ArtPole Agency has been collaborating with Busha Space since 2023, and in 2026, ArtPole launched an art residency programme there. Our collaboration began with the development of the Planet Kherson project, creating opportunities for Kherson-based artists to participate, as working in their hometown is currently impossible due to the ongoing daily shelling.
