AR-Resident Olesia Davydovych

Olesia and her daughter, Emilia Davydovych, are from Kherson. Olesia graduated from Kherson State University, where she studied to become a history teacher. She now works remotely as a librarian for several schools in her hometown. Her eight-year-old daughter, Emilia, is in the third grade at one of the schools in Kherson and also studies remotely.

Emilia Davydovych is one of the central characters in Planet Kherson, a performance directed by Olia Mykhailiuk. The project brings together real stories from the people of Kherson — both children and adults—with music and video, creating a space where their voices, memories, and experiences can be heard and shared.

Planet Kherson was first presented in Ternopil in March 2026, with Olesia Davydovych also taking part in the performance. The project grows out of the real-life circumstances of Kherson and, following the director’s vision, has a dynamic script that changes and adapts to the people on stage.

The next version is being prepared for presentation in Odesa in September 2026. After it, the creative team, with Emilia contributing as a performer, will continue exploring the unique character of Kherson and the people who have shaped it.
