Inna Kozhulenko is an artist of historical costumes and an art historian from Nikolaev, Ukraine.
In 1998, Kozhulenko graduated from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts with a Master’s of Arts and Crafts and, in 2018, from the National Art Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, with a Master’s of Textile Art. In 2017–18, she studied the ornamentalism, colour schemes and folk cut of the Bulgarian throne costumes to create a collection based on the data. In 2019–22, Kozhulenko was a doctoral student in art history and visual arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2020, she published her doctoral thesis, entitled “Artistic Heritage of the Ternese Ethnic Group of Bulgarians: South Ukraine”.
In 2020–21 Kozhulenko designed the costumes for the film Jewellery Art of the Ternovsky Bulgarians. She also worked on her collection of boho-style embroideries based on vintage cuts, natural fabrics and sacred ornaments.
Inna Kozhulenko is an ARTISTS at RISK (AR)-UNESCO Resident at Université de Perpignan, France, with the support of the UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund and the UNESCO-Aschberg Programme for Artists and Cultural Professionals.
