Mykola Doliak has had 15 years of experience playing in the regional pop brass band, “Podolyani”. A composer and performer of original music, Doliak is a laureate of the All-Ukrainian music festival, “Chervona Ruta-99”. Since 1996, he has also been an invariable member, manager and composer of the band, “Ocheretyany Kit”.

Story of experience of risk, relocation and/or exile

Artist’s account: Due to the constant threat of rocket fire since 24 February 2022, I was under constant stress, worrying about my life and the lives of my relatives. I felt that my creative and emotional states needed to change. I decided to take on the residency opportunity provided by Artists at Risk and Na Poshti to restore myself.
